Doctor, doctor, give me the news
I got a bad case of lovin' you

...

of course he is. so like all great artists when he found that he could not say it in person, he penned it in this now world famous ditty that never fails to tug on my heartstrings... "no pills gonna cure my ills, i got a bad case of loving you." with lines like, "i know you like it, you like it on top," he is obviously telling said doctor, 'you are on top of my world, and i'll hang around as long as you will let me, just waiting for a visit, waiting for you to "turn my blue heart red."

sadly, there is no reconciliation at the end of the tune, and no further songs of love about this doctor issue forth, so we can only conclude that mr. palmer's plea when unanswered, his love unrequited. let us have a moment of silence for mr. palmer, who may have more gold records than most of us, but still falls prey to that most human of human sorrows: a broken heart.

*clap clap*

However, there is a mandatory 0.15 point deduction for failing to seize the clear opportunity to use the word "oeuvre." Rules is rules.
